Norwegian integration and foreign policies after the cartoon crisis

At the Fafo Breakfast 16 February we ask about the connection between
the inclusion of Muslims in Norwegian society and the possibility
for Norway to have an active foreign policy in Islamic countries.
We will also discuss the contrast between confrontation in Denmark

publication on youth poverty

A new publication by Fafo for the Ministry of Children and Equality
focuses on poverty among children, youth, and families, and what
actions have been taken in various local governments in Norway.
Fafo researchers Tone Fløtten and Jon Horgen Friberg contribute
with articles about poverty among children, and about social exclusion
among young people with an ethnic minority background. Download

Working
conditions for teachers in the Nordic countries

In this report Fafo researcher Åsmund Arup Seip examines the
central agreements concerning pay and working conditions for teachers
in Norway, Finland, Sweden and Denmark. The report shows how qualifications,
pay and working time are regulated in the agreements in the four
countries, and how the interplay between the central and the local
