New Security Programme (NSP) conducts research into the social conditions
- both global and local - of insecurity, conflict and war. The objective
of the NSP is to assist in global efforts to improve security for affected
populations through research and policy formulation activities in the
areas of social and economic living conditions and responses to conflict.
Business and International
Crimes intends to promote
the systematic identification and strengthening of existing criminal law
norms and practices in order to deter illicit economic exploitation in
repressive or war-torn countries.
MICROCON, or ‘A Micro Level Analysis of Violent Conflict’ is a five-year research programme funded by the European Commission, which takes an innovative micro level, multidisciplinary approach to the study of the conflict cycle.
