Sustainable Development Indicators for China (Project Leader). Project with the objective to establish official SDIs for China and to compare aspects of Sustainable Development in the emerging economies of China, India and Brazil (project to be expanded to the two latter countries in 2011). Project partners in China are the Chinese Academy of Science and Technology for Development (CASTED) and Statistics Norway
Sustainable Development Indicators in the Light of the Precautionary Principle (Project Leader). Project with the aim of exploring alternative ways of measuring Sustainable Development, and to suggest new SDIs for Norway which enable prediction and which take into account multi-narratives and uncertainty. In collaboration with Statistics Norway and various Norwegian and international partners
Measuring the Economic Impact of Displacement (Project Leader). Project with the objective of developing a methodlogy for measuring the economic impacts of displacement. In collaboration with the Refugees Study Centre at the University of Oxford. Commissioned by the World Bank
The Ethiopian Woreda Disaster Risk Profiling Project. Project with the aim of establishing a national database on social vulnerability and risk towards disasters in Ethiopia. Fafo is responsible for data collection and analyses. In collaboration with the Ethiopian Disaster Risk Management and Food Security Sector under the Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Development. Funded by the Global Facility for Disaster Risk Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR) administered by the World Bank
