Parental guidance to teen parents

Pilot project about a parental guidance program based on the International Child Development Program (ICDP).

This study focus on how a universally oriented parental guidance program based on the International Child Development Program (ICDP) works when addressing teen parents who, to different degrees and for different reasons, share concerns for their youth. The evaluation seeks insight into the need for, and conditions of, good parental support to worried teen parents in general, and parents of minority backgrounds in particular. The evaluation will be structured around three main axes: the parents' needs for guidance, the challenges and lessons from the concrete implementation of this pilot project in the municipalities, and conditions for success. To address these thematic areas, qualitative interviews will be conducted with all the supervisors and municipalities involved in the pilot project, as well as a selection of participating parents.
