New project: Labour in the sharing economy

News | 29 August 2016 | Jon Lahlum

Fafo and SNF will map and analyze actors in the sharing economy, with emphasis on sharing economy actors that involve the use/intermediation of labour. We will measure the extent of labour in the sharing economy in Norway and look closer at what characterizes the working conditions and employment relations.

The project will be conducted by Kristin Alsos, Kristin Jesnes, Beate Sletvold Øistad, Kristine Nergaard and Rolf Andersen from Fafo and Torstein Nesheim from SNF.

In addition, we will draw on expertise from an international group of researchers, including Jeremiah Prassl (Oxford Law Faculty), Mijke Houwerxijl (Tilburg University), Marianne Jenum Hotvedt (University of Oslo) and Jon Erik Dølvik (Fafo).

The project is commissioned by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.
