Evaluation of e-learning laboratories in Niger

ADRA Norway is implementing the programme Strengthening Equity, Access and Quality in Education (SEAQE) Sahel in Mali and Niger with financial support from Norad. SEAQE Sahel is working to increase educational opportunities for all children, including poor and marginalized children, with a special focus on girls and children with disabilities.

As part of this programme, ADRA is implementing an educational intervention programme in Niger through the provision of e-laboratories in which primary school learners have access to tablet devices and other learning stations (hands-on games), for practising literacy and numeracy skills. The objective of the assignment is to assess the impacts of e-learning laboratories on learning and on how teachers are teaching. The learning results in laboratories with tablets and inter-active learning stations shall be compared with that of schools without laboratories. The assignment is expected to provide evidence and lessons around the use of technology and interactive station based learning in connection with literacy skills, including value for money, and teachers’ adaptation to changes in pedagogy
