Sabina Tica is a researcher at Fafo and affiliated with the Migration, Inclusion and Skills group. Her research focuses on issues such as minority participation, belonging, and recognition in education and working life.

Tica holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Oslo. In her doctoral dissertation, she examined how racialization and social inequality shape the working lives of artists with minority backgrounds. One of the key findings of her research is that diversity policy initiatives do not solely contribute to inclusion; they also help sustain existing forms of exclusion within the cultural field.

Prior to joining Fafo, Tica worked at the Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training, contributing to projects related to the Sámi curriculum framework, vocational education and training, and career and skills development.

Tica primarily works with a wide range of qualitative research methods.
